I am currently attending the Q Conference in NYC hosted by the Fermi Project.
Q is a place where innovators, church leaders, social entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders come together to explore the church’s role in positively contributing to culture.
In Manhattan, 500 remarkable leaders will collaborate around the biggest questions facing the church today. We hope you will be one of them.
Each presenter is given 18 minutes each to present their “big idea”, especially as it relates to culture and faith integreation.
Speakers from Day 1 included:
- Jon Tyson | Origins Church in NY
- Chuck Colson
- Leroy Barber | Beloved Community
- Eboo Patel | Inter-Faith Youth Core (An Interfaith Dialogue)
- Andy Crouch | Culture-Makers (We Can’t Change the World)
- Tim Keller | Redeemer Church | Grace and the City
I will eventually write about some of the major thoughts shared from this conference in the near future.
In the meantime, check the great venue (Gotham Hall in New York):
Great quote near these pillars…
“Waste neither time nor money but use both for your own and your neighbor’s good. There is no gain so sure as that which results from economizing what you have.” (Not sure who said this…maybe that Anonymous dude…)
Nice little welcome bag.
The Baggot Inn near NYU – Met up with a couple of friends in NY here last night… Never knew bluegrass culture existed in Manhattan (and no…I’m not into bluegrass.) Nevertheless, I had a great time.
More updates to come… Up to the minute/hour updates available (including contents from talks) on www.twitter.com/charlestlee.
