We continued our teaching series at our church (New Hope) today entitled, “Little”. In a culture of big, super and mega, I thought it would be helpful to explore the importance of embracing the small (i.e., the often overlooked areas in our life that are actually keys to experiencing the kind of life God desires us to enjoy). The Bible often points out how valuable it is for people to pay attention to the small things in life. There’s something powerful contained in our focus of the small.

This particular message focuses on the “little ones” (i.e., children). Jesus often referred to children as the model for those who would be a part of his Kingdom movement. Although children aren’t perfect, they do possess many of the characteristics that God desires his followers to embody. I pray that this message will become a source of great encouragement and challenge for the way we all practice our faith.
