A good friend of mine contacted me yesterday about what he could do for the relief efforts going on in Haiti right now. I suggested that he give to a proven organization like World Vision. In response, he told me that his business (Sakura Restuarant) and his organization (International Care Community) were willing to create a $10,000 matching fund for World Vision’s efforts in Haiti. After a few emails and phone calls, here’s what we came up with:

In collaboration with New Hope, NewSong, JustOne, ICC, and Sakura, we are launching a “Love Haiti” Donations Matching Challenge to raise funds for Haiti. The first $10,000 in donations will be matched by ICC and Sakura. Our hope is to raise more than $20,000 total for World Vision’s relief efforts currently in Haiti.

World Vision has set up a special donations page on their website for this challenge. Please visit www.worldvision.org/lovehaiti and consider giving a donation towards this effort. (Note: When forwarding to others, please use this url and not the one that appears when you click on the link.)

You may also give towards this fund via any of our partners mentioned above. Please be sure to memo any donations with “Love Haiti”. Also, if you would like to become a donor that contributes to the total matching amount (currently $10,000), please contact Charles Lee at messagecharles@gmail.com.
