The Freeze Project is an idea that my friend Derrick Engoy and I created last year to bring awareness to the reality of slavery as well as an experience for those interested in doing something about it (read more by clicking here).
Since its creation back in April of 2008, we’ve seen people run with the idea and host Freeze Projects in cities including Santa Monica, Irvine, Seattle, Glendale, San Diego, Hollywood, Pune (India), London (England), and Mexico City (Mexico).
Our latest one took place a few weeks ago in Hollywood (second time). Here’s the video we just posted to our Youtube site:
Here’s What’s Next for the Freeze Project:
- April 17, 2010 – We will be hosting Freeze Projects across the country and hopefully in different cities around the world all on the same day! In partnership with some great organizations that combat trafficking, we will be raising funds and hosting events that correspond to the Freeze. If you are interested in hosting a Freeze on this day, please email charles@just4one.org.
- Freeze Project T-Shirts – We are designing our first-ever Freeze Project T-Shirts. In light of this, we’d like to host a T-Shirt design competition!!! If you would like to design a T-Shirt for the Freeze Project, please email charles@just4one.org with your concept design. Deadline for design submission will be January 31, 2010. A great prize awaits the winner!!!
- Freeze Project Social Networks – We have set up the following ways you can stay connected with the Freeze Project (just click for link):
For the thousands that have already participated, thanks so much for being a part of our growing movement!!! For those who have yet to join, there will be plenty of more opportunities coming up! We would love for you to be a part of it!
