Thanks for your note DJ!

I love how you point out the team factor. That is so true. Our team definitely sensed the strengthening of unity during Unleashing Beauty this past weekend.

You definitely have a gift for networking. :) I also love the emphasis on creating time for people to talk with one another (in a facilitated fashion). I hope Idea Camp continues to evolve in this particular area.

Appreciate you DJ!

I love conferences too! :) There is something to being together physically that is different than being connected online. And, conferences are far more valuable when experienced with a team, useful to gel a team relationally and hearing the same language and sharing the same experiences accelerates how to better implement new ideas.

It's an environment where I thrive because it's the kind of environment where I can do what I do decently well: connect people to people, and connect people to resources. It's the hallway conversations that are far often the most valuable takeaways, much more so than the content.

For the future of conferences, it'd be great to create intentional time in the schedule for attendees to talk with each other in a facilitated fashion, rather than leaving it up to chance. So it'd take a skilled facilitator to surface the knowledge in the room, and the burning questions, and hot ideas that could become collaborative takeaways. I know that grouping people together cannot be forced nor too structured -- have seen where it didn't work too well.
